| On this page find out about ALIVE's mission, beliefs and people. Who we are: First of all, we are the student ministries part of New Life Community Church. We hope to reach teens and pre-teens(6-12th grades) in the Greeley, Evans, and overall Weld County areas. ALIVE stands for Abundantly Living In View of Eternity. We get this from what Jesus says in John 10:10: "A thief is only there to steal and kill and destroy. I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of." Some translations use the word "abundant" to describe that life . So, our defining attitude and goal is that of entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and through all-out devotion to him, experiencing this abundant and awesome life that he has for us. We want everybody(and students in particular) to hear the message that there is more to live for, and that through Jesus, we can have the security of knowing we will spend eternity with him, but in the meantime have a fulfilling, exciting, and action-packed life fulfilling our heavenly Dad's mission here on earth. What we do: We have a youth group sunday school class from 9:30-10:30 Sunday mornings. Feel free to come check it out. Once in a while we will do a crazy event for Friday, like Banana Night, Dodgeball Night, or Fear-Factor night. In addition, we will do fundraisers, retreats, conferences, and trips of various kinds. For instance, we might have Elitches trips, camping trips, Christian concert nights, snow tubing days, all-nighters, a day hike, or a paintball war. All of these things can be part of living life abundantly in worship of God, along with being great fellowship, discipleship, and outreach opportunities. |
